Manual of the Intervention Proposal for the development of Resilience in university contexts.
The RESUPERES Manual compiles comprehensive information on the concept of resilience, covering its definition, classification, factors that enhance resilience, the current landscape of resilience studies and programs in Europe, methodologies for addressing resilience factors, the design of specific activities to foster its development, evaluation techniques, and resources for data collection and assessment. Its goal is to offer updated content in response to the increasing demand for resilience training within the university community.
The RESUPERES Manual is designed to serve as both a guide for academics or any group interested in understanding resilience, and as a resource offering content, activities, strategies, and exercises to help students recognize, support, strengthen, and mobilize their personal resources. This approach enables them to train and cope with the psychological consequences of challenging experiences, overcoming them and learning from them. Additionally, the manual includes both theoretical and practical content aimed at helping students develop skills to face challenges, adapt to change, and enhance their emotional well-being.
Our Resuperes Manual serves as a comprehensive reference for compiling updated information. The content is organized into three distinct sections. The first section covers the theoretical foundations of resilience, including its definition, components, contributing factors, evaluation methods, and the theories that underpin it. The second section provides an overview of resilience within the European university context, featuring existing projects, studies, articles, and intervention programs in higher education. The final section is dedicated to each of the RESUPERES content areas, which include Art, Music, Photography, Narrative, Cultural Heritage, and Physical and Sports Activities within the health domain (such as Corporal Expression and Dance, Breathing, Mindfulness, Canoeing, and Physical Conditioning). Each area includes a literature review, content analysis, and a set of specific RESUPERES activities designed to enhance resilience.
A comprehensive document has finally been created, compiling all the updated information on Resilience in Higher Education, which we believe will become a key reference for both the quantity and quality of resilience-related content.
